Raw Materials of Vertical Carbonization Furnace

The vertical carbonization furnace, also known as the airflow charcoal furnace or wood charcoal making machine, is designed to efficiently transform a variety of raw materials into carbonized charcoal.

This furnace can process diverse inputs such as logs, sawdust briquettes, twigs, hardwoods, coconut shells, nutshells, palm shells, bamboo, and more.

The outcome of this carbonization process yields modern, non-toxic, and harmless combustion and heating materials – charcoal that holds immense potential for various applications.

Structure of Airflow Hoisting Carbonization Machine

Outer Furnace

The charcoal machine furnace, specifically the batch-type carbonizing machine, is designed with a distinct structure aimed at efficient carbonization processes.

The outer furnace, a key component, is constructed using robust steel plates and refractory bricks.

Crafted in a barrel shape, the outer furnace boasts a steel plate surface and an inner wall layered with refractory bricks. These bricks are thoughtfully positioned with special refractory glue filling the interstices.

The foundation of the outer furnace encompasses a combustion chamber, ingeniously formed by coiled tubes featuring strategically placed air holes.

Inner furnace

The heart of the vertical carbonization equipment lies within the inner furnace, a detachable steel plate container designed for easy loading and unloading.

This internal compartment is designated for accommodating the raw materials slated for carbonization.

Commonly, this encompasses elements like tree branches and sawdust briquettes. In the operational cycle, the vertical carbonization furnace features three standard inner tanks that can be employed in rotations.

Loading box

Beyond direct insertion into the inner furnace, the utilization of a loading box can simplify the material input process. This loading box serves as an effective aid for introducing raw materials.

In real-world scenarios, it is frequently employed for carbonizing sawdust briquettes that possess standardized forms.

Lifting Mechanism

Incorporating an air-flow hoisting carbonization furnace frequently entails the installation of an automated lifting apparatus. This device facilitates the effortless elevation of the inner furnace.

This integration enhances productivity and reduces the requirement for manual labor. The remote-controlled operation of this lifting system enables convenient loading and unloading of the inner furnace.

Vertical Carbonization Furnace Advantages

  • Best carbonization effect: This carbonization furnace needs to burn for 14 hours and the cooling time is more than 10 hours.
  • Gas Recycling for Cost Savings: This vertical carbonization furnace incorporates a gas recycling system that efficiently reuses gases after just one hour, eliminating the need for constant material additions and reducing labor requirements.
  • Dual Chambers for Time Efficiency: With its dual inner chambers, this furnace allows continuous production while one chamber is cooling down, significantly saving valuable production time.
  • Flexible Fuel Options for Environmental Compliance: This furnace accommodates strict environmental regulations by accommodating various fuel types, ensuring compliance while maintaining efficient operations.
  • Robust Design for Heavy-duty Use: Designed to withstand heavy loads, the furnace is equipped with a crane that can bear over two tons, guaranteeing durability and stability during production. Additionally, its high-temperature-resistant internal coating prevents collapse and ensures prolonged use.
  • Enhance Revenue Generation: Elevate your earnings with the airflow-hoisting carbonization furnace, which offers the potential to reclaim valuable by-products like wood oil and wood vinegar based on your specific requirements. This not only bolsters your income but also reduces environmental contamination, all while optimizing charcoal production efficiency.

Working Principle of Airflow Hoist Charcoal Furnace

The working principle of a hardwood charcoal furnace involves several distinct stages that contribute to efficient carbonization and charcoal production.

Fire Ignition and Initial Heating:

The process begins by igniting waste materials before the temperature reaches 90°C. During this phase, a vigorous fire burns, providing the initial heat source required for the subsequent stages.

Temperature Control and Moisture Reduction:

Once the temperature reaches 90°C, the fire intensity is reduced. The range between 90°C and 150°C is crucial for moisture reduction. In this phase, the furnace moves into a controlled combustion mode, gradually drying the wood rods or materials.

Carbonization and Gas Generation:

As the temperature advances to around 150°C, the furnace enters a drying phase lasting approximately six hours. At this point, the fire intensity increases. Subsequently, at 230°C, the process transitions into an ignition stage, generating a mixture of gases.

By the time the temperature hits 280°C, self-combustion occurs, where carbon monoxide gases produced by the furnace’s carbonization process can be recycled and self-sustained, eliminating the need for external heat sources. The furnace’s bottom door is closed during this phase.

Throughout this process, the furnace’s bottom door may be left open or closed, impacting the overall cycle. The internal temperature of the furnace can peak at around 500°C, ensuring optimal carbonization results.

The complete carbonization process generally takes about 14 hours, followed by a cooling period of more than 10 hours.

The system employs a network of pipes to facilitate gas circulation, combustion, and filtration, ensuring efficient airflow throughout the entire carbonization process.
